Voodoo academy is indeed homoerotic as others have mentioned, and it is nice to see this type of thing incorporated into a movie. The same old tired formulas in horror movies--damsels in distress--is outdated.

Oct 2, 2012 · The Movie lacks the Gothic/Religious feel that the original movie has, it is set entirely in the "1313 Mansion" which was another issue for me, it should have been set in the original School OR a similar building. The Movie is also missing the Campy/B Movie feel that was part of the original. The music is completely wrong in most of the scenes.
