May 28, 2016 · Schliersee wurde 1919 zum Markt erhoben. Da ein Heiliger im Wappen in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus nicht in die politische Landschaft passte, wurde 1938 eine Wappenänderung vorbereitet (Entwurf von Werz), die jedoch wegen des Krieges nicht zur Ausführung kam.
