The storyline in "Children of the Corn: Genesis" was pretty straight forward. However, it wasn't a storyline that appealed much to me, especially since the whole killer-possessed-religiously-obsessed-children aspect of the franchise is nowhere to be found in writer and director Joel Soisson's 2011 movie.

Aug 30, 2011 · What it does have is a very refreshing, well made, unique entry into the children of the corn series. First off you have your typical traveling couple that thinks they know everything stranded somewhere in California and the closest house is the home of "Preacher" (manson probably took some pointers from this guy.)
