End of Watch. From the writer of Training Day comes a gripping, action-packed cop drama about family, friendship, love, honor and courage. In their mission to abide by their oath to serve and protect, Officers Brian Taylor (Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Peña) have formed a powerful brotherhood to ensure they both make it home at the end of watch.
The film opens with a high-speed police pursuit ending in a shooting in South Central Los Angeles. The officers involved, Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Miguel Zavala (Michael Peria), are close friends and partners in the LAPD. Taylor, a former Marine, is filming their police activities for a film project, much to his fellow officers' chagrin.
