THE DAY THE EARTH STOPPED is the Asylum version of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, the needless Keanu Reeves remake of the 1950s science fiction classic about aliens visiting Earth and discovering that it comes up short. I thought the Reeves version was pretty pathetic in itself, and this cheap rip-off is even worse.
