Giora Feidman was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where his Bessarabian Jewish parents immigrated to escape persecution. Feidman comes from a family of klezmer musicians. His father, grandfather and great-grandfather made music for weddings, bar mitzvahs, and holiday celebrations in the shtetls of Eastern Europe.

Misha Segal is an Israeli composer, arranger, and conductor. He is best known for his work on the soundtrack of the film "The Big Lebowski" and for his work on the television series "The X-Files". He has also composed music for films such as "The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Green Mile". Segal was born in Haifa, Israel in 1943.
History. Founded in 1992 at the Juilliard School, the quartet's founding members were violinists Mark Steinberg and Serena Canin, violist Misha Amory, and cellist Michael Kannen. At the suggestion of Canin's husband, a pianist, the quartet took its name from Antonie Brentano, who has been proposed as Beethoven 's "Immortal Beloved". [1]
