Using on desktop - firefox. After a while of being either tabbed out or idle watching the stream, the bar becomes unable to be clicked on. I also hate that it moved to the bottom bar and is not on top. Likely a “separate” issue (due to this being like 4 more months later) but if anyone else is having an issue like this, try switching to creator mode, then back to viewing, seems to fix the search button. Yea, I’m having the same issue right now.
Finding your Twitch Friends is easy. Use the new search bar in the left hand navigation to locate your Friend and send a request. You will also see a list of recommended Friends for you based on who you have interacted with in the past so you can easily find the people on Twitch you interact with most.
