Jul 23, 2020 · Once the radio is properly connected, launch CHIRP. In the menu, go to Radio > Download from Radio. A dialog box will appear prompting you to choose your port, radio vendor, and model. The vendor and model are relatively straightforward; for a BaoFeng UV5RV2+, choose BaoFeng for the vendor and UV-5R for the model.
