It’s obvious that careful planning and forethought went into A King’s Ransom at every stage, and this shows. Not only does it show in the nuanced way the characters are built up, but in the plot and pacing too.
King's Ransom is quite good, an early one in the "87th Precinct" series, with an interesting and different story-line about kidnappers and a very wealthy businessman.
