Oct 22, 2021 · The governing board for Oklahoma State University, the OSU/A&M Board of Regents, has approved a recommendation from OSU President Dr. Kayse Shrum and Athletic Director Chad Weiberg to sign head football coach Mike Gundy to a new contract. The new agreement will keep Gundy on a perpetual five-year contract at his alma mater. Further terms will be released at a later date.
Mike Gundy first arrived on the Oklahoma State campus in 1986 after a heavily-decorated prep career. He was a four-year starter at OSU from 1986-89 and led the Cowboys to a pair of bowl wins - the 1987 Sun Bowl over West Virginia and the 1988 Holiday Bowl over Wyoming.
