Food & Liquor 2 breaks down the wall with a variety of beats that range from the basic high-volume, synth-and-bass construction “ITAL (Roses)” to the R&B groove of “Heart Donor.” There is still a dearth of synthesizers but the production teams get more creative with them, such as the layering on “Lamborghini Angels.”
It's been said in the past that by Atlantic Records cancelling the original 2 disc album plan, the cohesiveness of it was affected. If some more tracks like Atomic Misphilosophy or American Terrorist 2: Superheroes were added to fill in more of the american theme, then songs like Heart Donor or Battle Scars might not have been as jarring.
