Hey Miata fam! So, I love cruising in my 1990 Miata with the top down, but the aftermarket 3rd Millennium speakers I installed are about as exciting as watching paint dry. Seriously, they're not cutting it for highway jams. I'm looking to revamp the whole setup, but I want to keep that classic Miata vibe. Here's the deal:

May 13, 2024 · Hi Jack, To answer your question, there are no direct replacement speakers available that will let you keep you stock Bose HU. The Bose drivers operate at 0.5ohms instead of 4 ohms like most car audio drivers.
Really wanna replace my Bose speakers in my Miata because they're hot garbage. I already have an aftermarket radio but am still using the stock Bose amp. I can delete it if need be, but it'd be a lot easier to just get speakers that work with the preexisting system. Are there any recommendations?
