The Central Park Zoo is a 6.5-acre (2.6 ha) zoo located at the southeast corner of Central Park in New York City. It is part of an integrated system of four zoos and one aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS).

Feb 20, 2020 · The new six-acre park, officially named Central Park Zoo, was funded and constructed in large part by the Civil Works Administration and Works Progress Administration (WPA). The brick and limestone buildings formed a quadrangle around a sea lion pool, which still exists today.
