Lisa Suzanne Blount (July 1, 1957 – October 27, 2010) was an American film and television actress, and Academy Award-winning producer.
Lisa Blount was an actress who appeared in numerous films and television shows, most notably as Lynette Pomeroy in An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
She made strides behind the camera later in life, winning an Academy Award in 2002 for Best Short alongside husband Ray McKinnon, but persistent health issues ultimately took her life not long after. Behind the scenes, Blount suffered from idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, a rare blood disorder.
