  1. Listen to Frusciante's album Shadows Collide With People: it's the RHCP without Keidis. I love this album, it's more rock than funk but you'll find a lot of the Californication-era songwriting, excellent guitar, bass and drum lines. Frusciante wrote and produced everything while progressively falling back into a nasty drug addiction.
