May 2, 2024 · In recent years, Shaw has undertaken rehabilitation of historic Leonard Hall (1883) and Estey Hall (1873). The campus-wide plan will enable the university to develop rehabilitation plans for additional historic buildings as well as address the goal of connecting its campus back to downtown Raleigh while removing public access barriers.

Apr 30, 2024 · RALEIGH, N.C. – In July 2022, Shaw University received a $500,000 grant award from the National Park Service to rehabilitate Tyler Hall. Built in 1910, the building previously served as the location of the Leonard Medical Hospital; it now serves as the administrative office for Shaw University.
