The old fan had a pull chain. The new fan has no pull chain it just came with a wall switch. However it is outdoor so the hunter wall switch knob would not be ideal for the closed box. The current switch for the fan is just a normal rocker switch to provide on and off. If I power it on the fan turns on full speed for the fan. There is no light.

2 days ago · The first fan switch I installed constantly sent 120V to the fan when off; Smart Mode disabled. I troubleshooted with support and the switch was replaced - all is good. Since then, I’ve installed five more fan switches (and six canopy modules as a couple of switches control multiple fans). All is good. Those that control one fan work fine; those that need to be in Smart Mode, work fine too.
