Going back to Hazleton is like getting in a time machine and arriving in 1950, with all its prejudices, back-woods thinking, immigrant-hating, whites-only atmosphere. Its bible-pounding judgementalism is very hateful and unfriendly. The residents have a coal-mining mentality and live in the past.
