Ida Red (Melissa Leo) is sentenced to a long stretch behind bars after a heist went wrong. She learns that she has only months to live and is therefore determined to die as a free woman, not in jail.
Incarcerated crime boss Ida "Red" lives on borrowed time. Ida turns to her son, Wyatt, and brother, Dallas, to pull off one huge heist to buy her freedom. One problem: Wyatt's brother-in-law, a cop, is working with an FBI agent to investigate the family.
