Lake Superior Provincial Park is one of the largest provincial parks in Ontario, covering about 1,550 square kilometres (600 sq mi) along the northeastern shores of Lake Superior between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa in Algoma District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. [1] .

Built in 1965, Bard Lake is a 416 feet (127 m) high reservoir with a capacity of 11,000 acre-feet (3.6 × 10 9 US gal). It is an earthen dam which is owned by the Calleguas Water District. [4] [5] Although the lake is fenced, there are numerous hiking trails in the area. [6] .
