Am I nuts or could this be Mary Kay Place who played Lt. Simmons in Springtime Season 3 Ep. 6? This was at the premiere for Star Wars in 1977 (only 3 years after Springtime was filmed) and it was in Hollywood, so it is possible. BTW, Mary Kay Place also wrote three episodes on M*A*S*H.
