Possenhofen Castle (German: Schloss Possenhofen) is a condominium complex and former palace located in Possenhofen on the western shore of Lake Starnberg in Bavaria, Germany. It is best known as being the childhood summer residence of Empress Elisabeth of Austria .
Very difficult to find it due to the high hedges and the towers overlooking rather to the see than the street front. Chapel and the buildings are beautifully maintained and preserved. The museum is situated in the S-Bahn station of Possenhofen.
