Aug 16, 2024 · My guess is that the Asian-American love of Depeche Mode had something to do with the Pasadena, CA area, home to KROQ, America's top new wave radio station four decade ago, with the San Gabriel Valley becoming the Promised Land of Chinese-Americans in the 1980s. KROQ played a lot of Depeche Mode.
