In 1955, an artificial lake was created from the surrounding waters, and a 400-meter-long dam was built voluntarily to prevent the waters from overflowing towards Tirana. May 16, 2024 · This bright blue lake supplies drinking water for most of Tirana. After paying 100LEK (around €1) we were able to climb the steps, pinned to the cliff face, for the most spectacular views at the top.
