     The starting time for the next execution is determined when the current jobs is finished. If you specify an interval as SYSDATE+30/86400 then it does not mean: "The job runs every 30 seconds."

     It means: "The next jobs starts 30 seconds after the previous job has been finished."

     Immediately after a job starts, the repeat_interval (e.g. FREQ=SECONDLY;INTERVAL=30) is evaluated to determine the next scheduled execution time of the job. While this might arrive while the job is still running, a new instance of the job does not start until the current one completes. See About Setting the Repeat Interval

     So it means: If a jobs last longer than 30 seconds then the new job will start immediately after the previous job has been finished.

     The prototype posted is invalid, it should be:

     void read_func(uint8_t *read_buffer_ptr, uint64_t offset, size_t size);-

     Similarly, the definition main() is obsolete: the implicit int return type is not supported as of c99, the function call has another syntax error with a missing )...

     What happens when you pass a 64-bit argument on a 32-bit architecture is implementation defined:

     • either 8 bytes of stack space are used to pass the value
     • or 2 32-bit registers are used to pass the least significant part and the most significant part
     • or a combination of both depending on the number of arguments
     • or some other scheme appropriate for the target CPU

     In your code you pass 0 which has type int and presumably has only 32 bits. This is not a problem if the prototype for read_func was correct and parsed before the function call, otherwise the behavior is undefined and a C99 compiler should not even compile the code, but may compilers will just issue a warning and generate bogus code.

     In your case (Cortex R52), the 64-bit argument is passed to read_func in registers r2 and r3.

     In *cp = 1234;, *cp refers to just one byte, the first (lowest-addressed) byte of val2.

     In an assignment, the value of the right-hand side is converted to the type of the left side. So, 1234 will be converted to char.

     There are two complications here. One, in most C implementations, 1234 is too big to fit into a char. (The C standard allows a char to be larger than eight bits, but this is rare in modern computers.) Two, char may be signed or unsigned.

     If char is unsigned, then the conversion is well defined: 1234 is reduced modulo one more than the largest value of char (usually 255, so the reduction is modulo 256). In the usual case, 1234 will be reduced to 210, and this will be stored in the byte referred to by *cp.

     If char is signed and 1234 does not fit in a char, then the conversion is implementation-defined or an implementation-defined signal is raised. In many modern C implementations, the result of the conversion will be -46.

     The byte that cp points to after cp = &val2; is the lowest-addressed byte of val2. It is not necessarily the least significant byte of val2. Some C implementations store integers with the least significant byte lowest in memory (little endian), and some C implementations store integers with the most significant byte lowest in memory (big endian). (There are even systems that do not store the bytes in order; they may be mixed up in memory.)

     Most modern C implementations store integers in two’s complement form without padding, so, once you know whether the C implementation is big-endian or little-endian, you would know how changing one byte would affect the value of the int. However, the C standard still permits sign-and-magnitude or ones’ complement. It also permits padding bits in signed integers.

     Finally, note that char is a special type which permits accessing parts of other objects in this way. If, for example, you used short instead of char, as in short *sp = &val2; *sp = 0;, it would be a violation of aliasing rules, and the behavior would be undefined.

     First declare TextEditingController controller = TextEditingController();.

     Then inside your TextField, add the controller like this

     Then to get the value from controller, you can use controller.value.text.

     But if your process is different for each case (and your instanceof checks will make it so) then you HAVE 3 distinct methods, semantically. Bundling them in one method just for the purpose of saving some method declarations is a poor idea.
