  7. May 7, 2024 · 5/5: I originally read this book when it came out in the 1970's. I loved the story then and I still love the story but I realize now that I am older how much more of this book I understand esp in regards to WWII. Also the names of place in Greece have more meaning as I have been to several of the places mentioned. It is always good to go back and revisit previously much-loved books!!!!!
