Apr 30, 2024 · Thank you for your replies. I have purchased 3 late model 911’s and aling with my 356 have them serviced at Porsche Palm Springs. The entire staff is wonderful, accommodating and professional. The 356 was not driven for 4 plus months due to a home remodel and was running rough. They said the carbs needed to be rebuilt.

Apr 29, 2024 · Jim, The 36mm should fit all big oil pump cases, >1960. the 24mm would be for the 3 piece cases up until 1960 with small oil pump. I think the 21mm would be a 36hp VW, or maybe early 2 piece 356? 21mm 40hp VW? All the 3 piece gears are in matched pairs, the shafts press in making them a tach drive or electronic.

Few 356 Carreras were produced and these often bring well over $250,000 at auction. A fully restored 356 Carrera Speedster (of which only about 140 were ever made) will sell for around $300,000 at auction.
