The Luger, named after Georg Luger is a DWM made for WW1, that went into police service sometime in the 20's, and received a sear and magazine safety. the mag safety was removed by order of the police HQ.

Number 12.000001 was cased in leather and presented to Dr. Gminder. It was registered in the Internal Mauser Production Book of March 26, 1971.

Only around 5500 of these early “Crown/N” Proofed PPK’s were Police marked and they are scarce and highly desirable. There were 5 times as many later Eagle/N proofed Nazi Police pistols produced which makes this early gun all the more desirable.
