The Heart of Ohio Trail offers close to 20 miles for walking, in-line skating, geocaching, and biking. The trail is maintained by the Heart of Ohio Trail group, a 501c3 volunteer board, and organization.
The Heart of Ohio Trail is a 15.7 mile trail that goes from Mount Vernon, Ohio and travels southwest through the towns of Mount Liberty and Centerburg before ending at Huffman Road about 2 miles southwest of Centerburg.
Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon is at the northernmost point of the trail. Head a few blocks north on Main Street to explore one of Ohio's best hometowns. The downtown offers a nice collection of shops, restaurants, and historical buildings.
