Act 2 is a lot less linear in Jak 2 and 3 so you can basically progress anyway you want look at this: https://jakanddaxter.fandom.com/wiki/Jak_II_missions. If you’re still finding it too linear, take some time inbetween missions to do the side missions and explore the levels for precursor orbs.
