History. O'Hara Township's history can be traced back to the mid-18th century. From then until now, it has been home to Native Americans, U.S. Senators, military men, farmers, oilmen, and business people. The O'Hara Township history book, "Portrait of an American Community" is now available.
Jun 8, 2024 · O’Hara Township purchased the Fox Chapel Road area of the government property in 1959 for its municipal building (opened in 1962) and proposed park, which was opened to the public in 1965. A larger municipal building was constructed on the same spot and dedicated in 1996.
