May 4, 2024 · Meet the new national champions in men’s rugby: the Saint Mary’s Gaels. SMC Men’s Rugby surged out to an early lead and held tough to the end to defeat Navy 26–22 to win the Men’s Rugby Division 1A National Championship in Houston on Saturday evening.

Saint Mary's would extend their lead out to double digits at 39–29 early in the second half, but Gonzaga refused to go away, taking their first lead of the game at 52–51 with 7:40 to go.

May 4, 2024 · Saint Mary's held off Navy 26-22 to win the D1A final, logging their first victory since 2017 and fourth overall—tied with Life for the most since D1A was begun in 2011. Playing their open, pass to anyone and run from anywhere game, the Gaels ran out to a 26-5 lead, only to see Navy come storming back and almost take it.
May 21, 2024 · Saint Mary's will take on another new WCC opponent, Washington State in Pullman at 7:00 p.m. on October 9. SMC will be heading to Spokane to take on WCC Women's Soccer Champions Gonzaga who went 6-1-1 during Conference, suffering their only loss to the Gaels.

May 11, 2024 · MORAGA, Calif. — For the first time in program history, the Saint Mary's Gaels (30-22, 10-6 WCC) are WCC Softball Champs! The Gaels did so by downing the LMU Lions (28-25, 9-7 WCC) 8-0 in an inspired senior day effort! The Gaels will now head back to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2010!
