An 85,000-barrels-per-day oil refinery in Sinclair, Wyoming, just off of Interstate 80, the Sinclair Refinery runs a mix of Canadian and U.S. sweet and sour crudes. The refinery opened in 1924, and has become the most complex refinery – and among the largest – in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Sinclair is now one of the oldest continuous brands in the energy business, and our dinosaur is one of the most recognized icons in Americana. In 2022, Sinclair Oil joined with the former HollyFrontier Corporation to become HF Sinclair (NYSE:DINO).
