Jan 8, 2023 · By Brandon Judd. BYU is getting more help along its offensive line from the NCAA transfer portal. Former Missouri State offensive tackle Ian Fitzgerald announced on social media Sunday that he is transferring to BYU. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Started all 12 games at right tackle in his fourth season with the Bears in 2021. Allowed just one sack in pass protection all season. Averaged 95% assignment grade from coaching staff. Key part of a Bears offensive line that averaged 435.9 yards per game, which ranked 16th nationally.
