Jul 24, 2022 · Weathervane Productions, a company run by Jason Van Eman and Benjamin McConley, defrauded investors and producers of over $60 million by promising to match their funds for movie and theater projects. The scheme involved lying to victims, transferring money to personal accounts and spending it on luxury items.
Operating as Weathervane Productions, Van Eman and co-conspirator Benjamin McConley promised the victims they would match any money contributed to future projects, prosecutors said.
