Jan 29, 2024 · Masters of the Universe: Revolution episode 5, titled "The Scepter and the Sword," started out with massive changes to He-Man and Teela's new designs. Both characters received power-ups when Orko and Gwildor arrived on the scene. Their storyline, featured in previous episodes, saw the two work on modifications to He-Man's famous sword.
- Top notch animation. On of the things that I didn’t talk about much in this season is the incredible quality of the animation, this season is shorter, just five episodes, but it did not diminish in its energy.
- After all this time, the best versions of Teela and He-Man. Speaking of the ultimate versions, one of my favorite things of this show is that it gave us a “definitive” version of all the characters, the original show had its characters in a species of “stasis” they never grew up.
- Redemption. On the other hand, also the bad guys got their redemption, the dragon Granamyr, an old magic being guilty of indirectly killing a lot of people, got his redemption fighting in the final battle (and granting his powers to Teela).
- An Orko-percent chance. I talked little about Orko’s journey this season, and that’s because last time he pretty much ended his ark by becoming a powerful Magician, but I enjoyed his story this time, he got to team-up with Gwildor, a character from the live-action movie, and I really enjoyed the chemistry that they got together.
