LCpl William James Rogers IV. William was born at Fort Lee, the son of William J. Rogers III and Virginia E. Rogers of Buffalo New York. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps on January 31 1968. Arriving in Vietnam on August 5, he was assigned to and served with Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st MARDIV (rein) FMF.
