Its funny-I had the LP version of Pinnacles and I always thought the track entitled Pinnacles was impressive. The one track that stood out as not being representational of the initial LP version was the last one on this 4 CD set-the 21 minute version of Pinnacles-the amazing solo sequence that runs through part of the LP version sounds like a watered down edit on the 4 CD set.

Solo (1974 - 1983) The Virgin Years is a music boxset/compilation recording by EDGAR FROESE (Progressive Electronic/Progressive Rock) released in 2012 on cd, lp / vinyl and/or cassette.
During the rest of the '70s, Froese released four more solo albums during TD's breaks, followed in 1983 by Pinnacles. By that point, Froese was the undisputed leader of Tangerine Dream and could release material that would have appeared as solo work during the previous decade. The 1995 Virgin collection Beyond the Storm summed up his solo career.
