Executive Board. 2020-2022. Amanda Dargan has been a public sector folklorist and educator for forty years. As Education Director for City Lore, she designs folk arts education programs that serve over 10,000 New York City students each year and she provides professional development for teaching artists and classroom teachers.

Amanda Dargan is the education program director at City Lore, where she manages national outreach education programs and New York City arts, science, and history programs. As both a grantmaker and hub for knowledge-sharing, the Center is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and diverse cultural ecology.

She is grateful for having worked closely with the one and only Amanda Dargan for 28 years, for the current Education Team, Sahar Muradi & Malini Srinivasan, and of course, for some of the very talented teaching artists being honored here tonight: Haifa Bint-Kadi, Yahaya Kamate, Hector Morales, Lu Yu, and George Zavala. She is truly humbled.
