"My House" is a song by Declan McKenna. It was released on 9 July 2021 as a single. On Giphy, the song has been classified as belonging to the Zeros era.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, plans for the Zeros album cycle had to be cancelled or adjusted in accordance with global lockdowns. Declan used his free-time to write and produce new music, which contrasted the serious tone and band-heavy sound of Zeros.
On 15 June 2021, Declan posted a snippet of the song on TikTok, where he stated that the song wouldn't be finished until he found a sample that could be added to it. Another version of the snippet featured a phone call with Josh McClorey, in which Declan revealed that he was recording "My House", but the closed captions were changed to read "at my house", keeping the title a secret.
Lyrically, "My House" is about not being able to see loved ones during the pandemic. The song is also about "the joys you come to find when you're on your own and coming to face your demons".
