Mar 18, 2023 · Vanilla Fudge (1967-1970) has been cited as one of the few American links between psychedelia and what became heavy metal. After forming hard-rock/metal bands Cactus (1970) and Beck, Bogert & Appice (1972) the Vanilla Fudge founder members Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice reunited the band again which resulted in 'Mystery' (with Jeff Beck, who guested under the moniker J. Toad).
