Wallenberg: A Hero’s Story is a powerful portrait by Chamberlain of the idealistic Swedish diplomat who outsmarted Eichmann (chillingly played by Colley) and saved over 100,000 Hungarians during WWII. He was captured by the Russians after the war to disappear forever.
When Wallenberg is approached to head a rescue mission for Hungary's Jews sponsored by America's War Refugee Board, he immediately realizes it is his opportunity to make a difference. He is given diplomatic rank as a secretary in the Royal Swedish Legation in Budapest.
