David Hanna (August 31, 1941 – January 13, 1981) was an American realist painter and sculptor, best known for his paintings of landscapes, people and historic sites. Virtually self-taught, he was one of the most gifted fourth generation artists in the Brandywine tradition.

William David Hanna (August 31, 1941 – January 13, 1981), known as David Hanna, was an American artist who produced drawings, paintings, and sculpture in graphite, watercolor, egg tempera, drybrush, bronze, and marble. Hanna lived and worked in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Bristol, Maine.
David Hanna’s first exhibit at the Pittsburgh Playhouse in 1965 launched his artistic career. The enthusiastic reception and subsequent interest in his work allowed him to leave his job at the insurance company and rely solely on his income as an artist.
