He was survived by his wife, Mollie Louise (Schabbleman) Anderson, their daughter, Maxine, and his sister Leona Anderson (1884–1973). He was cremated and his ashes placed in a vault at the Chapel of the Pines Crematory in Los Angeles. Legacy. Anderson was honored posthumously in 1998 with his image on a U.S. postage stamp.
Anderson was married to Mollie Louise Schabbleman, and they had a daughter, Maxine. For the last years of his life, he lived at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California. In his later years, his legs were paralyzed as the result of a back injury that occurred while he was making a film.
