The Philosopher Kings is the debut album by the Canadian band the Philosopher Kings, released in 1994. The first single was "Turn My Head Around". Feb 9, 2007 · I bought this CD after hearing that the Philosopher Kings were Michelle Shocked's back-up band for her New Years Show here in NYC. They have a great sound. Its light, urban, jazzy and modern.

Terence Oliver Blanchard (born March 13, 1962) is an American trumpeter, pianist and composer. A jazz musician, he has also composed film scores and operas. He started his career in 1982 as a member of the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, then The Jazz Messengers. He has composed more than forty film scores and performed on more than fifty.
