He replaces Tim Clucas who departed in December after 4 years, as revealed by TV Tonight. Summerhayes has been an Executive Producer on The X Factor, and Producer on MasterChef, The Biggest Loser and Big Brother (for Southern Star).
AFTER casting its net locally and overseas, FremantleMedia Australia has promoted Jonathon Summerhayes to the pivotal director of programming role in a series of appointments. Summerhayes, who last year steered The X Factor to its best ratings year to date on the Seven Network, will succeed Tim Clucas in a key role for the production company.
