St. Pius X High School was founded in 1959 to provide a Catholic education for high school students in Jefferson County, Missouri, United States. The only Catholic high school in Jefferson County, St. Pius X is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Louis.

The School’s Crest. The school crest contains much from the life of Pope St. Pius X. On the crest, the winged lion symbolizes St. Mark, the patron Saint of Venice, the city of which Cardinal Sarto was patriarch and cardinal before he became pope. As pope, Pius X retained this symbol for his own coat of arms.
