Tallapoosa. Tallapoosa County is the site of the last battle of the Creek War of 1813-14, on the Tallapoosa River. The grounds are preserved at the Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, which includes exhibits on the battle, Creek Indian culture, and frontier life.
