His death coincided with the death of two other prominent Vikings, Glúntradna son of Glúniarann and Amlaíb, grandson of Ímar, marking a serious drop in the political stability of the kingdom. It has been speculated the aforementioned Glúniarann succeeded Sitriuc as king.
