I Want to Make a Movie is an episode of
Harry declares to Nana, who is filming him with a video camera, that he wants to make a movie. Nana says that is what they are doing, but Harry clarifies that he wants to make a movie like you see in the cinema. He has an idea for the plot, but before he can share it, Sam takes the camera for a school assignment. Nana says that she knows a place where Harry can make a movie, and Harry says, "You mean Dino World?" to which Nana affirms.
Harry goes there, where Sid produces a camera and Harry gets the costumes, then he assigns Steggy to be the makeup artist. However, they cannot decide on the plot -- Harry's idea was a story about pirates, Trike wants to play a gorilla, and Pterence wants a superhero story. Taury, Patsy, and Sid vote in favour of the pirate story, so they decide on that one.
They get some props and start acting, with Harry as the villain making Pterence walk the plank, and Taury and Patsy as the heroes who save Pterence, but he takes offense at being referred to as "poor little Pterence". He agrees to the role, however, but when Taury and Patsy are about to stage Pterence's rescue, Trike, still playing a gorilla, "saves" him instead. Then, Taury and Patsy, who were swinging on ropes, crash into each other and are knocked unconscious. Sid asks what happens next, and Harry responds that the movie is over and he wants to make another one. Pterence still wants a superhero story, but Taury suggests a cowboy story, and the others agree.
They start shooting the movie, with Taury as a bank-robbing cowboy and Harry as the sheriff. Patsy suggests that the desperado could steal a "stagecoach" (the Dinomobile) and Pterence could be in the coach and be rescued, but he's sick of being rescued. They shoot the movie as planned anyway, with Patsy playing Harry's mount, and run off, through the Cactus Fields (breaking the inner fourth wall to greet Nana) and Sid and Steggy struggle to keep up.
Trike then eats bananas and leaves the peels for the others to slip on, but he and Taury are about to fall off a cliff. Luckily, Patsy saves them at the last minute. Sid is convinced that this was all just part of the movie, and Harry goes along with it, but points out that the story needs an ending. He suggests that the desperado and sheriff wrestle, accidentally knocking the stagecoach off the cliff, necessitating "poor little Pterence"'s rescue. Pterence refuses, since he's sick of being rescued and wants to be the hero instead. Trike then shares his idea of the "wacky gorilla" (played by him) throwing bananas and the others slipping on them, which Sid agrees with due to finding it funny.
However, Steggy and Patsy slip on banana peels and land in the Dinomobile, sending it going over the cliff with everyone except Pterence and Sid in it. Harry cannot drive the Dinomobile back up, but Pterence dresses up in his superhero costume and saves them. Thus, the movie is finished and they show it to Nana (who is visiting Dino World) on a movie screen.
•It is revealed that Pterence is strong enough to, with a struggle, carry the Dinomobile with Harry, Taury, Patsy, Trike, and Steggy in it.
